Cues, transitions and formations are the back-bone of American Tribal Style (ATS) Bellydance.  Like communication without words, a well placed cue and transition can create a magical connection between the dancers, the music and the audience. In this 3-week workshop series, Politti will introduce students to Level 2 basics of dancing in a group with fun and creative formations and transitions to spice up your dance. Classes will build upon each other with plenty of review in each class. *Dancers should know the basics of ATS Level 2 moves;  Bring zils and a smile!

It takes more than a nice costume and technical moves to be a great bellydancer - you need to make a connection with your audience.  During this workshop we will look at stage dynamics for various styles of dance - from dramatic to perky - and how you can put your distinctive personality into the performance.  We will look at fabulous entrances and exits that will make you memborable, and putting "hooks" into your choreography.  A music CD and handouts will be provided.  Please bring a veil and a yoga mat or towel for the cool down.   

Workshop participants are encouraged to dance in the evening show.  Please let me know if you would like to dance, and what you are performing.  Solos, duets or group dances are welcome!  The show will be free to the public so friends and family are welcome to attend.
