The Oasis Dance Studio is home to the fabulous ATS Duet ~ Strawberry Butterfly. Strawberry Butterfly is a So. Cal dance company directed by Politti Ashcraft and assisted by Hasseenah. We are a small group of renegade performance artists, who, while pure in our ATS Bellydance roots, are not afraid to think outside the proverbial box and create chaos whenever and wherever it is needed...

Strawberry Butterfly can be seen in and around So. Cal at festivals, parties and small events. We can ALWAYS to be found at The Oasis, either in rehearsal or working a show. Here are some upcoming events to look for us:

Politti Ashcraft is the main instructor and owner of The Oasis Dance Studio, and is THE creative force behind bellydance art, education & excellence in the Inland Empire. Politti has been bellydancing for almost 20 years, and has studied Pilates for the past 6 years. Combining her experience from both of these movement arts, she has extensive knowledge of how the body works, and applies that knowledge to her bellydance technique.

When working with a group, Politti specializes in ATS (American Tribal Style) Bellydance. She is a Certified ATS Teacher, trained by Carolena Nericcio, founder and director of FatChanceBellyDance. Her dance partner is Hasseenah, who, when together, form Strawberry Butterfly.

When working solo, Politti is a one-of-a-kind bellydance fusion artist, using her many years of performance experience to create original movement pieces to delight her audiences. Specializing in oooey-goooey slow bellydance movements, her ever evolving dance form can be enjoyed in her solo performances in and around So. Cal. Politti is also "spreading the word" of ATS Bellydance with her "ATS Workshop Series" offered in addition to her weekly classes at The Oasis and around So. Cal for your ATS pleasure.

Hasseenah is Politti’s fabulous dance partner who totally “gets it”.  She has studied bellydance for over 8 years, however, her love of ATS brought her to study this format exclusively. In August 2009, she earned her General Skills for ATS Bellydance Certification from Carolena Nericcio, founder and director of FatChanceBellyDance.  Hasseenah’s long term plan is to practice and perform ATS as long as her mind and body will let her.
